Often it’s the little details that make or break an app. For our Pandora Premium mobile app, we were concerned that when our users needed to seek through a track, their thumb or finger would get in the way of the track’s timestamps.
I came up with the idea of making the progress bar and its timestamps (elapsed and total time) front and center. As you hold the scrubbing point on the progress bar, the line is transformed into a circle surrounding your thumb. The timestamps are positioned above the circle so that your thumb and hand can sit naturally below.
